Recipe of the week: a buffet with pie

Strawberry cake

Ingredients: 300 g vanilla biscuits or chocolate or speculoos, 100 g butter, strawberries, fresh cream and powdered sugar.

Preparation: Grind the biscuits or mix them very finely, add the melted butter and mix them all together to obtain a homogeneous mass. Coat a pie plate with butter and flour. Wrap the mixture tightly at the bottom and edges of the plate. Store in the refrigerator.

Cover with fresh whipped and sweetened cream and a nice garnish with strawberries.

White cheese pie


– for the dough: 1 egg, 200 gr flour, 180 gr sugar, 200 gr butter, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, minced skin of a lemon, 1 tablespoon kirsch, 1 teaspoon baking powder;

– for decoration: apple compote, 500 gr fresh fromage blanc, 50 gr flour, a few tablespoons milk, 5 eggs, 170 gr sugar and 40 gr melted butter.

Preparation: for the dough break the egg, add the sugar and flavors. Then add the flour and baking powder. Leave it with sand by rubbing the paste with the palms of your hands. Add the soft butter. Mix and roll out the dough in a buttered pan. Pour a thin layer of apple sauce over the dough.

Mix the cottage cheese and flour, whiten with a little milk if necessary. Add the egg yolks. Beat the egg whites until firm and add the sugar. Add this second mixture to the first. Finally add the melted butter. Spread this mixture over the apple sauce. Bake for 20 minutes in a hot oven (220ºC) then 20 minutes at 180ºC.
